Mezcales de Leyenda Cementerio Mezcalero Mezcal - 750ML

Mezcales de Leyenda presents the first edition of the series: "Cementerio Mezcalero" (Mezcal Graveyard), a collection of mezcales aged in glass that honors an old tradition often related to small comunities, in which some of the best "mezcales" are aged in glass containers, generally underground, to be latter unearthed for family celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, and baptisms.

The "desentierros mezcaleros" or mezcal unearthing, traditionally take place in Tzitzio, Michoacan, during the month of November, for the celebration of "Dia de Muertos", Day of the Dead.

The aromas offer lactic qualites, roasted chestnuts and dried fruit. The flavors reflect buttery notes with mild smoke with a high acidity and a long finish.
